For starters, I've been told I'm pretty vain. (Ha, HA now what do you think of me?) Why else would I put an artist section to the website? Yes, I am so conceited, it has become a joke with my friends and I. I still don't see what would be wrong with having a few statues erected of myself, but I've been told there is.
Well, a little about me. (For those interested in subjects for statues) I'm a 2003 Graduate from the University of Arkansas with a degree in drawing and graphic design. Currently I'm still there, now as a grad student working on a masters in Journalism. These are my two loves. Admittedly, I'm better at drawing though, so I stick with the comic stuff. I also draw caricatures for various organizations at the University of Arkansas, I really haven't tried expanding to other venues beyond them. Pretty much anything cartoon/illustration related I can and will do for money.
I'm a pretty big movie buff. This comes from working at a movie theatre in High School, and a video store through part of college. If you didn't figure it out from reading The Anarchist, I love me some zombie movies. It started the first day I played Resident Evil. Some kind of mystic force has since drawn me towards any and every zombie movie I can get my hands on, good, and well, mostly bad. The saddest thing is I can tell a bad one when I see it, and I'll still watch it. "Dusty," you may say, "There's no such thing as a GOOD zombie movie." That's an argument you don't want to start with me.
I'm an avid webcomic reader, I literally have at least one to check every day of the week. I have my own little list that I go through every day. Some of my favorite cartoonists, and ones that have inspired me are George Fisher, Thomas Nast, Stephan Pastis, Bill Watterson, Ruben Bolling, Mike Ramirez, and Tatsuya Ishida. In fact, my favorite comic of all time was a Sunday strip of Pearls Before Swine (Stephen Pastis) "The Adventures of Angry Bob III." If you haven't seen this you need to find it. It's one of the few comics I'll still laugh at even though I've seen it a bazillion times. I'd post it here, I like it that much, but fear of copyright laws prevent it. That and I don't want to be punched by Bob.
